We're mainly customers here, so you're not contacting Sky. Your best bet is to try your local supermarket or hardware store where a replacement is likely to be cheaper. Otherwise try online retailers such as Amazon.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. The Sky website says to call as they don't sell them online, but when I called they sent me a link to here. I presumed it was a customer service chat!
I'd rather not give Amazon my money, or the obvious, cheap imports you get on Ebay. Thought I'd see what Sky are charging first, but it doesn't seem that straightforward. Thanks for your reply

... but you've got to phone🤔
Is it now standard practice for Sky CSs to get this Community to do their job?

One of the main functions of the Community is to be the 'go to' place for help and advice to prevent the need to call Sky in the first place where possible. That would effectively mean the agents taking calls are available to deal with issues that can't be sorted here either by other customers or the Messaging Team.

Thanks, I saw that Argos have them. I may well just do this. Much appreciated.

Yes, but the website actually stated I was to call them!

I think you have a point. The options via call have no mention of what I needed.

@Daniel0210 The link clearly specifies a phone number to call to buy a remote🤔
When used @SBartlett was told to ask this community ... other customers ... was that appropriate?

If other customers can direct the OP to Argos, Amazon or Asda, which will likely result in getting a remote quicker and cheaper, then, Yes, quite appropriate.
Urgent Notice for Sky+ users: as of 29th October 2024 you will no longer be able to pair your viewing card to a Sky+/Sky+HD box that the card is not already paired to, so if your Sky box breaks you cannot replace it and you’ll need to move to either Sky Q, Sky Glass or Sky Stream to access Sky content |

So the Sky CSs agent couldn't say we don't sell them anymore try online... they had to redirect @SBartlett to this community😂
