Hi how to you get a smart tv to work with a magic eye
Hi I've just upgrade my bedroom tv to a smart tv and can't get my magic eye to tune into it. It works fine with the old tv

If the new TV does not have an analogue tuner then you cannot use the same setup as your old TV

As @Annie+UK indicates, new televisions can be expected to have an onboard digital tuner for digital Freeview. The output from the RF socket on a Sky+ box is analogue: in fact it's about the last analogue 'source' left, which is why television manufacturers don't cater for it.

Make sure you don't make the HDMI run too long as there is a limit to the length without extra hardware

You should be able to get ten metres, given you're only worried about HD rather than UHD, and possibly further. Round HDMI goes round corners better.
You'll also need to consider how you are going to do non-line-of-sight remote control.
