Hi can anyone help i have the old sky plusbox and it wont let me recod it just keeps saying failed

Also wont let me pauselive tv or rewind etc

Highlight a failed recording in your Planner and press i on your remote. The failure reason will be shown at the end of the programme synopsis - what does it say?

Which Sky TV subscription package do you have? Is this a replacement box? Have you been able to record ok before?

Hi i just have the basic chanels package

No its the original box

Ive had no problmes before it just started on monday 

No other issues previously

I don't know what you mean by that. Can you watch channel 106? And if so, does it give the same error when you try to record from channel 106?

i do have that chanel but when i go on it it says this viewing card is not authorised call the broadcaster for assistance

As in no movies or sports etc just other chanels

Ah, OK. Have you ordered Sky Q in the past, and subsequently cancelled it?

Yes they rang me to offer it a few months and i made an appointment but had to cancel as i was working

Unfortunately when you order Sky Q your Sky+ Viewing Card is automatically scheduled to be disabled.  That isn't reversed when you cancel, hence the errors you're seeing now. If you received a Viewing Card for the Sky Q, you can use it, otherwise you'll need to contact Sky for a replacement card, I'm afraid.

Hi. I am having this exact same problem but I haven't ordered SkyQ. 

I have other Sky+ boxes that are working fine, it's just one that won't let me watch any sports or movie channels, or 106 etc.
