HOW DO I STOP SKY AUTO RECORDING STUFF I DO NOT WANT

Hopefully the title says it all. Is it possible to stop this infuriating behaviour?

The only way this can happen is via one of your series links. You could try deleting/reinstating them one at a time to see which is causing it.

Hi, have you tried checking the Sky Planner / Scheduled tab?

Thats where all the recording timers are kept, delete all the series your no longer interested in from the list.

Sorry, you're both wrong. Try recording series yourself on UFC main event this saturday night, you'll see what I mean. It's the only programme it happens to, all others work fine. I have deleted it etc (as above) many times. It's a bigger issue than that, I think it's being blocked either by Bt or Sky (at BT's request) but hoped someone else might know

Sorry. I thought you were responding to my UFC thread! Apologies.

However I am even sure you're still completely wrong! I manage my own sky, and sky for several relatives. We ALL get stuff being recorded that we have NEVER EVEN HEARD OF!! It's some kind of 'you might like this' auto recording rubbish. Absolutely 100% certainty, I get complaints about it all the time "why has it recorded that, I've never heard of it and i dont want it filling my box up". I have seen it on my own box, series' i've never heard of recording out of the blue, often of a 'similar niche' to something else we HAVE set to record, but definetly not the same programme.

@SkySpiesOnUsers as @TimmyBGood highlights there's a small number of programmes which are automatically downloaded to your Sky box. But they occupy space reserved for use by Sky, and don't take up the space available to you for recordings and downloads.
