Find out more@Topper99 from memory, and if it's still available, I believe there's third party software that will enable you to extract recordings from the free to air channels, as they're not encrypted. On an official Sky forum, I'm not sure it's a subject that can be discussed in any detail beyond that.

I don't want to extract/download and transfer from my Sky+ to my Sky Q I want to put the Sky+ recordings onto a USB or any other viable device to view

SCART to a DVD Recorder then record in real time to DVD

Thank you, regarding the Sky viewing card currently in my Sky Q box do I take that out and put it in my Sky + box to make that "live" and able to view the Planner ?

Thank you, so what is the process of removing the hard drive and then connecting to what device to download/transfer to view ?
the best outcome I am looking for is to USB

...providing your Sky box initialises and you have Planner access.

Ah, that makes a big difference, I'd not move the viewing cardsabout if it was me

I don't think the viewing card will recognise the sky + box so as you say extract via the hard drive to a relevant device to then save and view

So viewing card aside and the sky Q box extract the hard drive from the sky + box and connect it to a ? Or is there a company I can send it away to for USB transfer ?
