Eurosport recordings.messed up

Here's the best tip I can offer. Get Discovery plus. App. On Sky box if you can. But through Firestick is better. 
Here is why. 
1) Every event can be watched start to finish. Live or delayed. When it's live you can do - "watch from start." Sky Q box seems to not like the watch from start hence firestick. 
2) No adverts and it starts right from pre start so you get all the info about what's coming up. 
3) All have commentary. Unlike Summer Olympics. 
4) Any event can be re-watched weeks after they finish. 
5) Each event you watch will stay where you left it if you wanted to nip to another sport. 
6) Very few, if any, spoilers about other results. Meaning you can be pickier on what order to catch up. 

We were working and managed to watch all the events from 4:30pm with targeted fast forwards perfectly. 
I'm not recording anything on Eurosport now.

I'm having the same problems with the Winter Olympics, and had the same issues with the Australian Open Tennis. Yes the problems may well be with Eurosport tinkering with their EPG, but Sky could assist in this very much by restoring the facility of Manual Recording to SkyQ, which was available on Sky+.

I used to use Manual Recording mainly to get around the Eurosport EPG issues, but since upgrading to SkyQ I'm back with this problem.

Yes, come on Eurosport, sort it out, but come on Sky also, bring Manual Recording back!

I imagine Sky made a conscious design not to include manual recording as a feature for Sky Q when it was designed, presumably on the basis that it wasn't widely used. I doubt anything has emerged since to change their mind.

^^^Does that mean you can't record radio on Sky Q? I record Classic FM nearly every Saturday night with manual.

I've heard nothing back from my second message to Eurosport so I've pretty much given up. Just have to hope it somehow fixes itself sometime, thankfully the extra channels are still working normally, shame they're not permanent.

I've checked out your question about radio. On Sky Q you can tune into radio channels through the Audio-Features route, but there doesn't appear to be any recording facility, like there is on Sky+.

I've had exactly the same problem.  Sky + box and none of my night time Eurosport recordings have worked.  Day time is fine ...I wonder if the issue happens when Box goes into sleep mode over night.  I've done the Planner reset and even the full five min Sky factory reset.  Still no luck....  did anyone ever find a solution?

I contacted Sky and they said they'd look into it but I've heard nothing for a few days. It's not just at night, I've had things cancel in the daytime just an hour after setting it.

Sky replied earlier this week, they think the trouble was caused by the Olympic schedule and said it should be fine now. Tomorrow's and Sunday's downhill skiing are still in my planner since Tuesday so it does indeed look like it's fixed.

For the past three weeks I've found that when I series record any Eurosport cycle race on sky Q, I get two recordings. Both are from the same station at the same time on Eurosport. The only difference is that the title is slightly different on each recording. But watching either and it's the same event live at the, same time. Really annoying. 

It looks like a metadata problem.

I just had snooker and motocross show up randomly in my planner, and I had to reset the biathlon and skiing earlier this week, so it looks like they're still having some issues. Also noticed a couple of things on SyFy channel this week, is there a connection between the two?

So now four weeks into limited Eurosport recording successfully on to my Sky+ box.  Today Alpine Skiing clearly in my planner to record.  Just checked...nothing.  Not even a "Failed".  What is the issue...so irritating!?

Same here, just had to reset Sunday's biathlon and skiing again. Sent yet another message to Sky, maybe they'll have better luck this time.

I keep setting it to record the Alpine skiing.When I look later in the day the entries have all gone.

At other times I click on the event and it takes me to the planner and a different event,on a different channel, at a different time that I have already  previously set!

Just had the same issue as Baz, found 2 identical recordings of the skiing. Heard nothing back from Sky yet, hopefully won't be long. Anyone had problems with other channels? SyFy went a bit funny on Tuesday.
