Damaged satellite dish - Ireland

Hi all. My satellite dish was damaged way back in the storm in January and for various reasons I haven't really needed the TV for a few months so wasn't too bothererd. However, now I would like to get it repaired. Who does this? If it is Sky can I arrange an engineer visit online? Or do I have to arrange a third party engineer myself?
I am in Ireland so I appreciate that the process could be different from the UK.

@DanDanDanDanDanDa

If you've got Sky Q (where you've posted) call Sky Ireland and arrange an engineer to replace or repair the dish.

Yes, I *think* that's my package but to be honest after not using it for a few months now I'll have to check. Is this different for each type of Sky TV service? Wow, seems arbitrary.

Thanks!

Yes, especially if you don't have a dish...  (Sky Stream)

Sky + / Sky HD is no longer supported.

Re: Damaged satellite dish - Ireland

If I look at my bill it says Sky Signature, which is supposedly part of Sky Q. However when I try to book and engineer it tells me I don't have Sky Q. How is this possible?

@DanDanDanDanDanDa Sky signature is the TV package and is available on Sky Q and Sky +/HD  you need to find out which service you have whether its Sky+/HD or Sky Q can you find what model of Sky box you have ?

Oops, I see then I'm in the wrong forum! I have a Sky Plus box, with the silver bar across the front. So I need to hire my own guy to fix the dish then? How do I even go about that? Or maybe I'll have to go up the ladder myself.

I have moved your thread to the Sky+ board

No point in attempting to repair it yourself unless you have to correct equipment. Search locally for a satellite repair company and get a quote.

Re: Damaged satellite dish - Ireland

Thanks for moving me to the correct forum, Daniel0210.

To be honest I think I'll just get rid of the channels completely. I don't want to spend more than I'm already spending on channels I don't use that much just to have the satellite hardware covered by Sky.
