Cheapest way for me to watch Eurosport

Hi, I am retired and although I have Sky, I mostly watch snooker on Eurosport. I have heard that from 28th February I will no longer be able to watch this. There is little point in me keeping sky without it.

Could someone please tell me the cheapest way for me to be able to watch Eurosport. I was told I would have to get the Internet (which I do not have) and also pay for TNT sports which would be too much money for me. Thank you

As this forum is only UK and ROI I thought I'd not need to specify this in my post

@Ronnie31 it may be worth ringing Sky to cancel and see if they will offer you a cheaper deal for adding TNT Sport.

Likewise, long term customer.  Mostly watching sport, due to wife having dementia.  Very disappointed to lose Eurosport despite paying £105 per month and increasing every year, and the box getting older and not costing them very much internet data via satellite.

@JerryK56  Eurosport is nothing to do with Sky, also not sure what Internet data you're referring to as that is not how channels are broadcast over satellite and actually it costs each channel, Sky or non Sky a huge sum to broadcast over Satellite, it's not as cheap as you seem to think.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Re: Cheapest way for me to watch Eurosport

My TV content costs them nowhere near £105 per month and the box is long since paid for.  What I watch costs them nothing more whether I watch it ot not.  Further, Eurosport being bought by Discovery and disappearing from my sport package seems not to have been reflected in my price.

@JerryK56

Nor will it. Channels come and go all the time. Admittedly it's more noticeable when channels are closed (in this case by their owners) but the subscription price does not change.

That's bloody poor.  I pay extra, per month, for the sports package, as then advertised.  Half (or more) of the sports I watch have gone.
That's ok, is it?  Particularly at £105 per month.  Shameful.

Eurosport was not part of SKY Sports subscription - it was included in the base Entertainment subscription (currently Signature)

@JerryK56

Eurosport wasn't part of the Sky Sports add-on. Eurosport was part of the entry level package (Signature), so you didnt pay extra for it.

Re: Cheapest way for me to watch Eurosport

I know you guys are technically correct, but have some sympathy and understanding for the man.

He is also correct that Eurosport was part of the basic package that he signed up for. And as a sports fan it could well have been his most viewed channel out of them all.

Given the amount he and many others pay Sky, they could at least allow people to cancel without a fee, or give us sports fans (with Sky Sports) a reduction.

This isn't the first chunk of sport we've lost to from Sky to TNT in recent years (European football the big one, but also Test cricket and a lot of boxing events) while still charging us the same.
