Strictly speaking the box can be moved, but use of the viewing card (and so reception of subscription channels and access to subscription services such as hard drive playback) is only legitimate at the subscription address.
What may have happened to the physical setup you were using is different.

Many thanks for the reply, heretofore for years, I used to bring my SKY+ Box from my house to my holiday home, happy days. Recently, when I brought the SKY+ Box to the holiday home, I get the error 'No signal' eventhough I have checked the signal and it is perfect. My question is have SKY done something of late to prevent people moving the SKY+ Box plus card to their second home as I spend about 6 months in either and I can only watch ONE television at a time.

No, they haven't.
If the message is No Signal, that's a message displayed by your TV.
'No Satellite Signal' would relate to the Sky box.

There is no mechanism by which that's possible for a device without an internet connection. Broadband-connected devices can in theory be 'tracked' by IP address (and Sky does so for Glass/Stream) but as far as anyone knows this has never been the case for Sky+, which is now a legacy platform anyway and really isn't going to be updated any more. That doesn't change the fact that you are in breach of the contract terms though.
'No signal' would tend to indicate the television set isn't detecting HDMI input from the Sky box, so the suspicion would be the HDMI cable or the HDMI port on the TV itself (or SCART / RCA if it's really antique)

I recall I used to be able to do that but haven't had a holiday home for around 10 years now. However if you have broadband at the holiday home you should be able to use SkyGo there and can connect a laptop to your TV which might be a good solution.
