I cancelled my sky subscription to Sky some time ago. If I purchase a sky hd box, can I watch free to view channels through HDMI.I am currently watching free to view channels through a basic sky box

HI @Quadring
AFAIK a SKY HD box should be no differnet for viewing the Free To Air channels than the older SKY + SD boxes except they will receive the HD channels that the old SD only boxes have lost & may loose in future.
Even SKY HD boxes are now several years old.
Personally I think you would be better looking into a dedicated Freesat box that will work with the same Dish & LNB

A Sky HD or Sky+ HD or Freesat box will access FTA channels😉
The advantage of a Sky HD or Sky+ HD box is they can decode more channels and list them on an EPG ... although neither can record🤔
A current Freesat with HDD box can record ... although the EPG will list fewer channels🤔
A Freesat box can decode more channels in non-Freesat mode BUT without a next 7 days EPG😉
