I purchased a Freesat card in 2007 and the system has worked well ever since
Unfortunately, the recent upgrade by BBC North West to HD means I appear to be unable to get the local news which is now on HD only.
The set up, as per the screen instructions when BBC NW HD comes on, is as shown below
How do I get back to watching BBC NW through Freesat, please? I’m happy with the rest of the services so don’t want to go to ‘full’ Sky

@WendyW1949 that's a very old Sky box! You'll need a box capable of receiving HD broadcasts, which means either upgrading to Sky Q as @SKY1992bf posted, or buying a used Sky+HD box from the likes of ebay. I'm assuming your TV has an HDMI input socket. If you choose the used box route, look for either a DRX890 or DRX895 model and don't pay more than around £30.
Edited to add: just to forewarn you, it's your Viewing Card which determines which BBC channels are local to you and you may not be able to pair your Viewing Card with a replacement Sky box. Your local BBC channel won't therefore appear on ch101, and you may have to find it within the other channels.

@WendyW1949 Only way to do it is to upgrade to sky Q with the essential package
you will need to speak directly to sky to see if this is possible
