Any way to skip adverts (or any footage) faster on Sky+ HD boxes ?

I have used Sky for 30 years and I am sure somewhere down the line you could skip 1 or 2 or 3 minutes on recorded shows by either pressing or holding down a button or two. If so, what keys are needed to be pressed on the Sky remote ? Thanks.

As a Sky+ customer you have the fast forward button only as there has never been a way to skip the adverts as I have also been a Sky Tv customer for 30 years so can safely say such an option has never existed.

@Nailz it's certainly possible (and very useful) with Sky's more recent TV services (Sky Q, Stream, and Glass), but not with Sky+.

@Nailz You can FF at x30 speed (with multiple presses of the FF button), which is far too fast anyway and invariably ends up a couple of minutes into the next section of whatever you're watching.
