Why won't my Sky Soundbox turn off at the same time as my TV and Sky Q box?

If you’ve set up your Sky Q remote to turn on your Sky Q box, TV, and Sky Soundbox at the same time (HDMI control) you may have noticed that your Sky Soundbox and Sky Q box remain on when you turn off your TV.

I set up my new Sky Soundbox today, loving the sound! Just one issue, when turning the TV off the sound continues to play. Shouldn’t it turn off automatically? -Amilal92

This is by design and allows you to listen to music from your Sky Q box whilst the TV is turned off. The Sky Soundbox will automatically enter standby after 18 minutes of inactivity.
