My Sky Q box is stuck in standby in the morning

If you are an early riser or a night owl you may have noticed your main Sky Q box takes a while to turn on whilst your Sky Q Mini or Sky Go does not work at all.

Lizalexa asks:- I have just got Sky Q but if I try to switch it on in the early morning it says its not connected but by 6am its back on. Any ideas?

By default your Sky Q boxes use an Eco standby mode which means that the boxes enter a low power mode between 2:30am and 5:50am. This means that between these hours you may notice it takes a few minutes to turn your main Sky Q box on and that you cannot use your Sky Q Mini or Sky Go.

If you use Sky Q between these hours we recommend choosing another standby setting. To change your settings:-

• Press Home on your Sky Q remote, and select Settings , then select Setup.
• Select Preferences then Standby mode, and select your preferred setting.

Please note: All boxes should be on the same energy saving settings.
