My nan has moved house and wants to get sky, however she wants regular tv channels (she reads the TV guide in the radio times) but more than freeview offers. She will not get on with streaming services. Does sky glass have regular TV guide and channels?
really struggling to find info on this as its all pushing streaming services and tried calling only to be greeted by an ai voice and no compatible option for my problem 😠

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYes Sky Glass/Stream have TV channels and an EPG. It's just different from Sky Q as it's not delivered via satellite but via the internet so no dish is required.
You can find the list tv channels available here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/tv-channel-list-sky-glass

Maybe also look at the various videos online where Sky and others explain the Stream user interface, and make a judgement yourself on how comprehensible this will be. One criticism of the UI is it doesn't open into a channel list.

@Mags99 only get a Sky Glass TV if you want a TV and the option to pay for it over 2 or 4 years... otherwise get Sky Q (dish) or a Sky Puck (streaming) are good options😉
You can get much better TVs for less🤔
Sky Glass TVs and Sky Stream Pucks have basically identical user interfaces, both are streaming devices, only real difference is removing to need to buy an overpriced TV😂

Be careful though, the TV guide has clearly been designed by an idiot.
It initially comes up with choices with the default "all channels" highlighted. You have approximately one second before that choice vanishes and the cursor automatically moves to restarting whatever is on BBC1. I kid you not! So, more often than not you have to let iPlayer load just to go back home and start again.
Terrible design flaw. It's incredible that it got released.

That's not a typical experience, and suggests a fault (perhaps with the Glass remote)

Pressing left will reopen the menu for you to filter the channels by type.
Hi @Mags99 the only thing to note is that the EPG on stream is different to sky's satellite product, and the channel numbers in the paper based TV guide tend to refer to their satellite service not stream.

the same as you I've occasionally gone to press all channels only for it to disappear then inadvertently press on the now playing bbc tile (which annoyingly opens iPlayer)
