sky stream shows not automatically top of playlist

ive had sky stream for a couple of years with very little issues. but now a lot of my recordings (shows on my playlist) dont auttomatically go to top i now have to search for them manually. for example new recording og "Eastenders" would automattically be the first on the playlist but for a week now ive had to scroll through all the tv shows until i find eastenders and then select the episode manually.

ive tried reseting the device and nothing.

any help would be appreciated.

Just so I am clear when you say it doesn't automatically go to the top of your list do you mean it isnt on 'Most recent' or do you mean when you scroll down to 'TV shows' it isn't the first thumbnail you come to?

It's hard to explain. But usually when there is a new episode it appears at the start of the playlist but at the moment it's not coming up at the start of the playlist and I'm having to go find it manually. Hope this makes sense.

@danielbob   I am not sure exactly what you mean but I am not a soap watcher.  Do I presume your Playlist has lots of shows thus making it difficult to find?  One suggestion might be to set up a second Playlist called Eastenders so you can always find it.  Also all that Playlist does for BBC programs is provide a like to iPlayer so would it not be as easy to just go direct to iPlayer?

No this isn't just for one show. Eastenders was just an example. 
I'll try to explain again. 
when a new episode of a show I have in my playlist is available that show moves to the top of the playlist. So all the newer episodes are easy to get to. But for the last few weeks they don't go to the top of the playlist

There's also the continue watching rail on the Home Screen which may assist, as for shows you are actively watching the next episode should pop up at the fromt of that.

When you open the playlist, you will see a number of rails on the playlist there will be a Most Recent one, a TV shows one and Sporrs one etc. Which rail are you looking at and not seeing a show move to the front when a new episode is available?

Does the continue watching rail update as expected? I.e if you  are up to date with say eastenders os the next episode automatically appearing on the continue watching rail when it's made available to view?

If I'm halfway through watching Eastenders then it appears on the continue watching but if I've finished the episode there's nothing

Interesing - maybe try this ( i know this has worked for people's when the continue watching rail doesn't track shows correctly anymore, whether it will help with the playlist as well i'm not sure but its worth a try).

1. Go to https://www.sky.com/mydetails

2. Click on manage data & personalisation

3. Scroll down and toggle Enable Product Analytics, Personal Recommendations & Profiling to OFF.

4. Wait 30 seconds to make sure the change has taken affect.

5. Toggle Enable Product Analytics, Personal Recommendations & Profiling back to ON.

It may take 24-48 hours for it to work,  but its certainly worth trying it and seeing if it helps.
