Would upgrading to full fibre broadband, help with slow sky stream tv?
I currently have sky stream which is up for renewal in May. I'm not overly impressed with it, it's often slow, (buffering) lip syncing is also a problem. Playlist often disappears. My question is, if I upgraded to full fibre broadband instead of superfast broadband, would this help? And if so, could I get it as a free upgrade?

Re: Would upgrading to full fibre broadband, help with slow sky stream tv?
It will definitely help with the buffering as long as it's a stronger speed, which it should be.
Lip syncing is a separate issue and a potential fix is being rolled out currently, but might take a few weeks to get to you.
Playlists disappearing does happen on occasion if Sky are having problems their side, if you're getting this frequently there might be more of a problem at play.
We can't comment about whether it would be a free upgrade, you should chat with Sky and see what they can offer you.
You can use the Sky Help portal to contact Sky. If you want to speak to somebody, you can click "Need more help?" at the bottom, and within that content you will see a phone number (we can't post phone numbers in this community).

Re: Would upgrading to full fibre broadband, help with slow sky stream tv?
@Trudy2 unfortunately the answer is it depends. While improving speed to your router will help if your issue is insufficent bandwidth to allow of your household to watch TV playgemes etc at once it will help.
However if the issue is poor WiFi signal at the puck which is very common issue improving the speed go the hub wont help unless at the sametime you improve the WiFi signal in your home. A single wifi router provided by your isp (Sky included) often is not sufficent to give a decont wifi signal in every room. The layout and how you home is built affects wifi signal strength.
65inch Sky Glass, 3 Sky Streaming Pucks, Sky Ultrafast + and Sky SR213(white Wifi Max hub) main Wifi from 3 TP-Link Deco M4 units in access point mode
