Have you tried rebooting the puck? That often fixes glitches like this.

Only received and installed a week ago, will I lose all apps that I've installed if I reboot the puck? I was unsure whether it was not in my package or something like that. I'm just watching "shed and buried" and some play whilst others come up with this message

You can't install apps on the puck - Sky control which apps you get access to as they are all hosted on Sky's servers.
Rebooting the puck will not lose you access to any of them, in fact, regular rebooting often helps maintain a smooth running service.

But will I have to reset them all again with q code/password etc?
As it took ages on initial setup

A reboot doesn't restore the puck to factory settings, it just clears the cache and re-engages the connection to Sky's servers. You won't have to input usernames and passwords again.
