Where is watch from start on Sky Sports Channels

Just flicking through a few sky sports channels tonight, I think only 3 channels have a watch from start option. When I first got the stream service, there was very rarely a time where it wasn't available. I also noticed this was the case earlier when watching the f1 that this was also not available so couldn't watch the start of the sprint qualifying. Why is this service got worse over time, it was one of the key features of the service?

Given we are fellow subscribers here on the forum, no one can tell you why. The best course of action would be to raise a complaint with skys viewer relations team. They will investigate with the relevant broadcaster/ team and feedback. You can email them on viewerR@sky.uk.

Looking at it right now (Saturday afternoon) restart is available on Cricket, Golf, Tennis, NFL, Plus, Racing, Mix and the TNT channels. It could be the content and rights related or it could have been a glitch.

Same for me - spoilt my F1 watching last weekend and this weekend.  

...and the sprint race which finished well over an hour ago is still not available on demand (and I couldn't watch it from start either)

I already have contacted sky on this as I think the service has got worse since I first started using sky stream to the point where I don't understand why I am still paying the same amount for the services which are not being delivered.

As of 8pm today (2/11) , there is just one sky sports channel which has watch from start available. I have been flicking through the channels and it seems that this issue is only related to sky channels (although I have seen the same issue for great british bake off on channel 4 a few weeks ago). The only pattern that I can see is that any content which is being shown for the first time and doesn't have a playlist version available, the watch from start feature is disabled. The only channel with watch from start available was sky sports cricket which is showing WBBL highlights, which I think is available on the playlist. Another example is that shows like Game of thrones/The office US, watch from start is available but all of these shows have a full playlist available, so watch from start is enabled for these channels (although it will take you to the playlist).

I can only assume that this is related to the playlist issues, maybe a change of code has been introduced where it relies on recordings going to the playlist rather than going to a bog standard cloud recording. I remember in the past that if the program was being cloud recorded it would appear in the playlist, where I could select watch from start, and i notice how this is no longer the case for F1/Premier League and other live events etc. Whatever has happened it is certainly a backwards step.

Got some more evidence for this. Sky sports is currently showing NCAA Live, Watch from start disabled. It has over-run it'snormal slot and is still on now despite NFL gameday being scheduled for 11-11:30pm. NFL gameday is showing watch from start but this is because it has a playlist recording which it is linking to and if you click watch from start, it goes from the recording, not from the live content currenting showing on the NFL channel. Have to conclude then that live content is not generating a recording anymore, which is disappointing to say the least.

On the tennis it as the option to watch from start but when you select it, it reports of a technical error.

I'm going to cancel Sky Stream tomorrow and demand to go back to Q. 

I have F1 on my playlist but it never records anything current  Tonight its impossible to watch today's grand Prix. I've reverted to Channel 4.

Sky Stream is terrible for streaming of sport. If you miss a game or a grand Prix wait 4 to 24 hours to then see it. You'll know the result and no longer care.

@KevNewMedia  Over the past few days it does look like watch from start is slowly getting better, like the EFL had it over the past few days on Main event, football etc and Tennis had it available today. However Live NFL Bengals v Ravens doesn't have it available, and some channels like golf/cricket didn't have it pretty much all day today. Is there any way of knowing in advance if watch from start is available so that users are aware in advance. For example will F1 have it available next weekend?
