When do you conclude your Puck is faulty if you have 900+mbs?

Have always had Virgin Media broadband 10+ yrs. Some months ago upgraded our broadband to 900 mbs. Had Sky Stream Puck for nearly 2 years. After broadband upgrade Puck not happy throwing up initial messages that there is no broadband connection but if I wait some minutes (annoyingly so) the content loads from Sky.

A technical call to Sky some time ago was less than satisfactory when I asked for a new Puck only to be emphatically 'NO' and told to put the Puck on Ethernet Cable (given its in the name Sky Stream I declined that solution; also impractable). I have documented the TV screen showing a splash screen - No Internet Connection and a Speed Test on our broadband at the same time of around 900 mbs. I have proably 20 of these pairing over time with absolute proof I have available robust broadband.

I have concluded I do not have a problem but Sky has a problem. Guessing here that the specification of the Puck is out of date... probably not the latest broadband version 6 or akin?

The lack of help from Sky technical support has me turn to the 'community' here. Do I now need to fiddle with the settings on my Virgin Media router, mesh network et al. Keeping in mind that was not previously required. Thank you for reading and even better responding with a technical response. doublek

I suspect you mean WiFi 6 (there's no 'broadband version 6')

Stream pucks have an 802.11ax  (WiFi 6) wireless chipset.

(or possibly IPv6, which is something different, but pucks also fully support)

Being called Sky Stream doesn't exclude the use of ethernet🤔

If the cable run is difficult  .... powerline networking maybe used for a ethernet connection😉

Having 900 Mbps BB is no better than 60 Mbps BB for a single Puck ... having greater capacity just allows the possibility to have more Pucks or use the excess capacity for other purposes🤔
