Re: Watch from start fast forward issue once broadcast has ended

@Nohhvcb  I contacted sky tv complaints by WhatsApp yesterday and when discussing this 'watch from the start'  issue I got this reply

--

The watch from start system works on the half hour time slots that each program is scheduled for, if the broadcaster runs over and the last 5 minutes of the show are past the half hour time slot, then the end will be cut off as it is technically the first 5 minutes of the next time slot. Similar to series link, we cannot control this as it is a broadcasting issue."

the lady also said not to hold out much hope on this latest update fixing the issue.

she said they don't have to compensate me because my live tv and on demand services are working.i was offered one month free sky cinema as a gesture of good will

coincidentally the Q35 update was applied to my sky stream puck this morning

I'll have to test it now to see if it has fixed the issue

I have also noticed that WFS doesn't always go back to the start, sometimes starting quite a long way into a programme, so not only do we lose the end of a programme, we can't always watch from the beginning either. I have come to the conclusion that Sky streaming is cheaper than satellite because it is  a rather poor quality product. Sky also don't seem to want to take much responsibility for improving it.

@nicky15

I have never had a problem where the Watch From Start didn't go to the Start, or slightly before the start.

@nicky15 Since I received the QS035 update last week I have not noticed any more problems with WFS so hopefully when your puck is updated it will resolve this issue for you 🤞

Re: Watch from start fast forward issue once broadcast has ended

Is QS035 still being sent out as I've not received it yet on my Gen2 or puck yet, anyone got it recently?

Re: Watch from start fast forward issue once broadcast has ended

I've just watched a program from the start and had no problems fast forwarding. Checked settings and I've been updated on to QS035 overnight.

@Steve93

It seems likely  the gen 2s are skipping QS035 and will be updating directly to QS036.
