Okay so I know you can't technically record a show with streaming, but it somehow does. So every Friday night I watch a particular live show that's been recorded and is usually still on by the time I start watching it from my playlist. So for instance, It started recording at 9pm and finishes at 10pm, I start watching at 9:30pm from the start, I fast forward ads, happy days. But every time its officially finished on the channel at 10pm, it stops letting me watch it and disappears from my playlist?? So then I have to wait for it to be uploaded onto the app like an hour later for me to watch it. It's honestly painful. Whyyyy?! Sky need to fix it because it's every single week and it's driving me mental.

Hello @Chloe-W22 - is there any update to this problem being fixed?

We've had Sky stream for a few weeks now. We have the add on option of skipping adds. However, we sometimes watch a program that has already started & opt to 'watch from the start'. During the program we pause it, then resume it. Then when we get to the adds we 'fast forward' but it then jumps back to the start! We try to 'fast forward' to where we want to continue watching it but it'll then jump back to the start again. It's driving us mad! We would wait until the adds to pause but when our child gets up in the evening it's not always an option.
Any suggestions/guidance or experience of this?
Many thanks.

Hi @Naomi+D
this is a current known issue that is being investigated. There is a separate thread discussing this .......

If you exit rather than pause ... when you restart does it continue where you exited or from the start of the programme?

We have the same issue, and no exiting doesn't help.
we also pay the add skipping, this problem has been going on for some time now.
As well as this often have to reset the box & we have super fast fibre.
The box is also wired into the router rather than WiFi but still have to reset often.

Watch from start is now unavailable on sky sports channels on both my glass and stream devices!! Thought it may have been related to the recent sports + issue but apparently that issue is now fixed,

I also experience this issue A LOT
its most annoying with programmes like the news which aren't always available to watch on-demand , and which are shorter and therefore more quickly reach the end whilst you're still watching from start (ie in chase play) and it seems to happen less with movies
for me I find it occurs most often when I try to ffwd ads (especially if I hold-to-jump 1min or if I jump too far and then have to jump back) - this seems to mess up your position and it jumps to live (and if programme has finished you can't watch from start again). Sometimes tho it just happens randomly
I switched to Ethernet a couple of months ago because my instinct was it might be to do with WiFi drop or bandwidth - but it's just as frequent - so i think it's something at the Sky end

Getting exactly this and annoying not to be able finish watching something. We pay for ad skipping so sky you need to sort this out, really annoying.

Wether it's trying to watch from start, which apparently now is just removed and doesn't exist anymore, or any game/race constantly skipping forward 15 seconds every 25 seconds making everything completely unwatchable.
i even forked out for the skip adds function because of the notorious roundabout you get out on just to get to a specific part you want to lift off from.
my experience of watching the brazil f1 and mutd vs Chelsea was absolutely terrible, didn't have a clue what was happening.
