Want to watch Chinese Grand prix highlights from Sky Showcase

New user of sky stream here.

I want to watch the highlights of the Chinese Grand prix that was shown earlier today on Showcase. I can't find how to do that. Any ideas?

If you don't have a Sky Sports subscription then you probably can't.
Sky Showcase is a curated channel designed to tempt those who don't subscribe to a premium package (ie Sports or Cinema) to do so. If you don't catch a programme which originated from a premium channel on the live Showcase channel stream, then you'll have to subscribe to the premium channel package to watch it on demand.

Oh, OK, thanks.

I'm in the free trial stage of possibly switching to sky from Virgin. I don't have any sports subscriptions on either, but can watch (and record) sky showcase on my Virgin subscription. So I can watch it there.

Maybe I'll have to rethink the switch.

I'm finding that virgin's facilities for watching, recording, catch-up, etc seem far superior to Sky's.

Yes, I too found Sky Stream to be inadequate for how we like to watch TV so got rid of it a couple of months ago. It works fine for some people but not for others. The good thing is, as you have found, there are plenty of alternative options these days.

@PortlandBill Is this on virgin stream or on virgin cable TV as i was under the impression virgin stream didn't have recording facilities but virgin cable does as does Sky Q.

It's virgin cable. Virgin stream seems very basic, but but it is cheap.

@PortlandBill ahh right so that explains why you were able to record as I said the equivelent product to virgin cable would be Sky Q which is delivered by satellite and offers recording facilities

I agree virgin strean=m does seem basic compared with Sky stream the major drawback being it's only available if you have virgin broadband
