UHD/HDR issues with sky content

I'm having issues with my Sky stream box specifically with Sky's own content. When I play through Netflix/bbc or any other platform the HDR automatically kicks in (I know it does because my monitor automatically changes and displays the info). It also works on the live UHD channels. However, when I select certain Sky content such as Sky Atlantic on demand, the UHD/HDR format is listed but it doesn't play in HDR.

Has anybody experienced similar issues?

@RMerr Sky use a HDR format called HLG which does cause issues with some TV/monitors as one signal can be used both for SDRcand HDR viewing if the set misses the metadata tag the set wont switch to HDR mode. Sometimes you can trigger that manually by using the remote . If its an odd title it can be down to a faulty transfer however if its quite common it is likely to be an issue with the screen.

Re: UHD/HDR issues with sky content

Thank you for your reply. I understand your response I just don't know why it can work for other content, including live sport channels (on the sky stream box) and not skys on demand content. Surely if it was a problem with my monitor it wouldn't receive any HDR/HLG content from Sky stream, right?
