Trying to add extra sky glass tv pucks

I am trying to upgrade my current tv package to add sky glass. I currently have sky on my main tv & 4 mini boxes aswell, when I change my package to add sky glass it only adds 1 puck but I need 4 to replace my existing mini boxes. How can I add more?

You get one puck with  the tv, the rest I think  you  to order  separately  and they are £39.99 each

Do you actually require a Sky Glass TV? If your main TV is already a fairly recent smart TV then there's a strong chance that it will already offer better quality than Sky Glass which is now very over-priced and becoming increasingly dated. The hardware has not been updated since it launched over 2 years ago and there are much better value smart TV's available on the market to which you can simply add a Sky Stream puck.

Yes my main tv is a fairly recent smart tv & I don't have any issues with it. The sky glass tv would be bigger as I was considering going for the 65" & I currently only have a 55". I was under the impression that to use a sky puck I needed a sky glass tv, is that not the case? I currently have a sky q box on my main tv & then 4 mini boxes.

You absolutely do not need to buy a Glass TV to use Sky Stream pucks. This used to be the case but you have been able to get Sky Stream without a Glass TV for over a year so any information you have been given otherwise is woefully out of date. 

It will be a lot cheaper for you in the long run if you just purchase Sky Stream with the Whole Home subscription. You can add however many pucks you like to all your existing TVs (up to a maximum of 6) without need for the additional expense of a Sky Glass TV.

Do make sure that you have sufficient broadband speed to support such a change to your current system. Unlike Sky Q, Sky Stream/Glass relies entirely on a fast and stable broadband connection to function. If you are planning on running four or five pucks simultaneously, especially in UHD, then you will need a very fast full fibre connection and ideally ethernet links to your router.

@LilyMeili in this case i wouldn't bother getting a Sky Glass TV, i'd recommend using your existing Smart TV and just ordering Sky Stream. This is a puck that will connect via HDMI to your existing TV. Your current TV is likely to be much better in terms of performance and hardware than a Sky Glass TV ( which is based on components from about 4 years ago now).

You can just order Sky Stream, to have multiple stream pucks you would need to add in the Whole Home add-on to your order. This will let you then order multiple Stream pucks at £39.95 each.

You should also make sure that the Sky Streaming platform is what you want. Its operates completely differently to Sky Q, and some users struggle to get to grips with it and much prefer Sky Q. Really i see it more as a personal preference rather than anything else. Not all channels are available on Sky Streaming platform (https://www.sky.com/help/articles/tv-channel-list-sky-glass) and also it doesn't do local recording, so you are only able to watch things on demand that are available on the relevant streaming services ( which of course for some of the services you need subscriptons to to take advantage of e.g Prime Vifeo, Paramount,+ Disney +). If you are used to makinly using streaming services to watch things it really isn't that much of a change.

Okay thanks for your help you two, maybe I will rethink bothering with sky glass then & probably just stick with what I have (sky q) as you mentioned not everything is available on the pucks & I can't record normal channels. Also eventhough I do pay for the best broadband I can get for my address unfortunately that's not the best one that's available so I'm not sure my internet could keep up with the demand.
