To add to @Padam_Padam, if you have Apple TV, you can purchase the TV launcher app for about £5 (one off payment) which gives you a TV planner that connects to BBC Player, ITV etc and launches the live TV from there rather than having to go into each app individually.

Firstly, apologies for the late reply.

Secondly, you've raised an excellent point, which I'd not really thought about. I can just about watch everything I'm interested in via the apps built into my TV - BBC iPlayer, ITVX , Channel 4, My5. I've just started a subscription to Amazon Prime (actually, I just forgot to cancel it at the end of a 30 day free trial, but never mind, I've got it now).

The only Sky channel that I really watch with any regularity, is Sky Atlantic, I very rarely bother with any of the other Sky channels, maybe Documentaries and Arts, but I've absolutely no interest in Sky Sports or Sky Cinema. For anything on Sky right now, I'm downloading content to my iPad and watching it there. Ok, so I lose a bit of impact for such things as House of the Dragon and other big money, big effects blockbusters, but I can live with that.

I'm now wondering about starting a subscription to Now TV, which I've just discovered is owned by Sky, but a completely different company. It's £9.99 a month and I'll be able to stream all of the Sky content I like (as far as I'm aware anyway).

Just something else to throw into the mix, hmmmmm 🤔🤔🤔🤔

@bigsnitch2

NOW is indeed a very good option for getting  Sky content for less money on shorter contracts. They also frequently offer very good deals. I'm currently paying £4.99pm with NOW for Entertainment & Boost for 6 months. It gets me all the content I used to watch on Sky Arts, Atlantic and Documentaries via Stream and can be viewed on the NOW app on various devices. Very versatile.

Thanks for that, good to know that Now is a good option. I'm thinking that may be the way to go.
