Thinking of Sky Stream instead of Glass

Hi well due to an absolute messup of my order to switch from Q to Glass on a home move in the past week (they decided to try delvier to my old address ) the whole order was cancelled down. And someone from the retention team is calling me back on Sunday to go through properly cancelling my Sky q and will be asking if i want sky tv still in some form. Which I do.

So after everything I read I think now is not the time to invest in a Sky glass TV as its a few years old tech wise. Sky stream seems the easiest and cheapest option - is what is offered on Sky stream exactly the same as Sky glass ? as number of channels features and so on ? or is there a difference.

I do have really fast broadband in my new house so speed no problem getting around 500 to 500mbs

And I am going to invest in a new TV rather than getting skys offering. any answers on this would be appreciated thanks )

It's the same interface, layout, remote and channels...... it will just be a tv box plugged into a hdmi (similar to sky q)

All current Glass televisions are the same hardware specification as those launched in October 2021, but still selling at or above launch price: that's a significant anomaly in the wider technology market.

Any 2023 set of the same size from another manufacturer is likely to be either cheaper or better specified, often both.

The value of Glass comes if the user wants a one box solution, likes the design aesthetic or really needs the finance arrangement.

@dino9898

There are plenty of options if you want Sky TV these days.

You don't even need to use Sky hardware any more. The NOW TV service, which is entirely app-based, was recently upgraded and offers the same UHD/HDR and Atmos options on Sky Entertainment channels, Sky Cinema and Sky Sports that you get on a Stream puck.
