Switching to Stream, couple of questions
My wife watches a lot of stuff on ITV but we find ITVX to be a terrible low quality app.
If we bookmark or playlist (not sure what it is called) an ITV show, for example Emmerdale, to watch it later will it playback like Sky content or will it launch the ITVX app?
If I pay the extra monthly fee for ad skipping will that apply to ITV content too?
Also one last question, has F1 in UHD HDR been working ok so far this season?
Thanks!

Yes it wil use ITVX, unless you are watching Live.

Yes it does.

Can't answer this one.
Thanks!

Anything you playlist for ITV content will playback in the ITVx app

Yes the Sky Stream ad skipping works fine with ITVx, C4 and C5 content.

As for F1.
I had no issue with Sky Stream watching in UHD, adding to playlist, watching live or watching content later from my playlist of any of the F1 sessions, F2, F3 and Teds notebook at all for the whole season last year.
It was worked without any issues for the seasons F1 this year too.

Re: Switching to Stream, couple of questions
Thanks @DiscoDave77 and @lettice
What is the quality of ITVX like on the Stream?
On my fire stick or google TV it is like watching something in a slighlty lower frame rate. I have Sky Fibre 500 and all other streaming apps are perfect.

Re: Switching to Stream, couple of questions
Good that you have a good fibre connection.
A reliable local network offering is key to a well performing Sky Stream.
Im on Sky Ultrafast 500 Mbps and run both my pucks off wifi using the Sky Sr203 router.
Works like that without issue for my Sky Stream.
For me Sky Stream has been a big step up pq wise from Sky Q, both in hd and uhd/hdr.
All the major apps look good pq wise on my Sky Stream, including ITVx.
I do not really use the apps on my smart TVs much or my Roku, as Sky Stream does a fine job.
My Roku is just used really for allowing one of my TVs to have airplay functionality for apps like Talking Pictures to play out on a TV from an iPad.
Have a read of my move from Sky Q journey, listed below in my signature.

Re: Switching to Stream, couple of questions
Cheers, my main reason for looking into switching is my Q box is sounding pretty rough, just like it did the last time the HDD failed on it. With the days of Satellite being numbered I may as well make the jump at some stage.

Re: Switching to Stream, couple of questions
@stejo ITVx is normal broadcast quality HD on Stream. Same with All4 (or whatever it's called these days)...
F1 UHD is fantastic on Stream. The F1 channel is regular 5.1 audio though with fake Atmos available on Main Event apparently when there's a simulcast..
Ad skipping works fine. On most apps or On Demand content, you can shuffle through the ads but Sky channels have a lil pop up that says Skip Adverts.
Bare in mind Sky recommended speeds will get you going but you really need a fast and very stable WiFi connection to really zip around the interface. We've got 500mbps with around 130mbps at the puck and it's very zippy.

Re: Switching to Stream, couple of questions
I can recommend Stream. I feel it's the way Sky is moving to and I hate the old hard drives. Everything I'd want to record is on there anyway and any movies that I'd want that aren't, I'd just buy on the sky store.
ITVX is great but having to fast forward ads is annoying. There doesn't seem to be a skip ads button unfortunately.
