Streaming puck drops sound then picture freeze

Occasionally dropping sound then picture freeze and repeats until I reset the puck. My sky says no problems but when I checked sam knows speed test, download is as low as 30mps

Hi @Chippyjack 

 

That will be th issue. Sky recommends 25Mbps for HD and 30Mbps for UHD. You have very little headroom for other things using your network.

 

What speed should your broadband be? Is Sky your ISP? You may get more stability using ethernet and turning off WiFi in the settings on the puck.

Thanks for your response 

I have sky full fibre 500 and also a mesh setup to send the wifi around to full house, sky test says everything working well with a guaranteed minimum 400mbs, I think it's a bandwidth problem that only seems to be a problem at busy times of day when most other people are using Internet. I hope this streaming  tv thing isn't going to be regrettable

You need to check the speed actually being received by the puck. To do this, open the Netflix app, navigate to the get help menu and run a network check. Run it a few times and see if the speed is changing a lot.
