Hello,
Stream UI version: 20.289.030.09
Platform version: 7.4p32s1
I have added series to my Playlist from Sky Atlantic, Sky Documentaries... etc. I can see all of them listed in my Playlist alright and when i watch some of the episodes i can see the progress is tracked in each episode, but as soon as i switch off the stream the tracking gets lost and when i switch it back and look in my Playlist it does not remember where i am in any of the series and all is back to S01:E01
Also the Resume rail has disappeared from my Home screen, few months ago used to be there and even listed the Netflix series i was watching.
Both issues are only happening since few months ago, so i wonder if one of the upgrades have broken both things.
it is a bit if work to keep track of which episodes have watched in a note pad 😁
does anyone experience the same problem and know what has happened?
thank you!

hello
my puck SW has been upgraded and now the CW and the track of the episodes is working!
and yes, the Sky Glass Product Analytics, Personal Recommendations & Profiling is set to ON,
i never knew about his option till some of you mentioned, so i never set it to OFF. With the previous SW i had this option to OFF, and now the new SW has set it to ON , i did not have to do anything!
Problem is now sorted
Thank you all, it was a very good help and now i learned something 🙂

Make sure you have the relevant option selected under "Sky Glass Product Analytics, Personal Recommendations & Profiling" to allow this tracking at https://www.sky.com/mydetails/data-and-personalisation.

Sky Glass Product Analytics, Personal Recommendations & Profiling
When you use Sky Glass, we use data from your TV to better understand how our customers use our products and what we can do to offer the best experience.
Product Analytics: When using Sky Glass, we use data to help us understand how our customers use our products so that we can make them even better. To do this, we gather some data such as how our customers navigate our products and how often our customers use Sky Glass.
Recommendations & Continue Watching: We offer you personalised recommendations based on what you enjoy watching. You can also easily continue watching shows that you want to come back to later. For certain apps, continue watching will still be shown. Please review their privacy notice/preferences for further information.
Profiling: Through automated processing of data, we can get a good understanding of what our customers like, so we can match our products and services to your needs. If you consent to the relevant marketing, we sometimes send you tailored offers for products and services that we think you will like. This also affects tailored TV advertising.
If you would prefer to not have your data used in these ways, and switch off the personal recommendations and Continue Watching features of Sky Glass, then you can opt out using the toggle below:

It's is not possible to manually remove anything from the Continue Watching rail. You have to watch the episode until the very end and then it normally will drop off the rail. But sometimes it doesn't! It's been an issue since Sky Stream/Glass launched.

I'm not sure how the rail was there. Perhaps it was only showing episodes from the other players (like iPlayer) as they used to be able to feed into the rail directly? Assume a firmware update changed how the function works.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHow long things appear on the CW rail seems to depend on which app they were watched in for some reason. I've noticed for most shows on apps like ITV X, iplayer, if the show isn't watched within 30 days it will fall off the CW rail however for some reason Netflix shows seem to stay on their for much longer.
