Have you tried powering down your Stream box?
If not , just power the box down at the plug for a few minutes and then reboot it.
A simple action which can resolve many problems

@Emma+Fannon In addition to the reboot suggested by @paulg78 you could also try changing your audio settings to PCM or passthrough. This might help with the lip sync but not sure about the Robot sound.

I've had this on one of my stream boxes and another user suggested changing the sound output to Dolby Digital Plus which I did and so far has fixed the issue. Try changing to this @Emma+Fannon and see if it resolves it. At least for the robot sound anyway.

Hi @Emma+Fannon Do you have another TV you can plug your puck into to see if you get the same sound issue?
If you don't have another TV or if you do and you get the same problem I would phone Sky and discuss some other troubleshooting and maybe puck replacement.

Re: Sounds like listening to a robot when watching anything. And the timing is out when there speaki
Hi all, I'd like to add my experience to this. Took me a little while but I managed to get it all sorted when I had this issue.
Few things I tried before, during, and after my call with Sky support:
- Changing Sky Stream sound settings
- Changing the Sky Stream picture settings
- Changing TV sound settings
- Factory resetting Sky Stream
- Rebooting Sky Stream in recovery mode (turn stream on by mains power whilst holding down standby button until buttons flashed red/yellow)
- Changing HDMI cables
- Changing HDMI ports
What I eventually found was that the robotic noise stopped when I changed the picture quality to 1080p (down from 2160p). This made me think my TV (Samsung 4k UE43NU7400, circa 2019) wasn't compatible with the 2160p picture and sound from the Sky Stream puck. I then saw a forum post about changing the HDMI cable. I swapped out the Sky-provided HDMI cable with the one I got with my Xbox Series X. This solved the problem. I am now watching (and listening) to Sky Stream in 2160p UHD.
Final setup:
- 4k compatible TV
- 4k compatible HDMI cable plugged into the ARC HDMI port
- Sky Stream sound set to Dolby Digital +
- My TV settings also support choosing the Dolby Digital + sound input option so that might be helpful too
- Make sure you choose the UHD channel too. Watched Sky Sports in HD for far too long before realising 😄
