So my sky puck was delivered yesterday and I’m waiting for my WiFi box but it’s saying the engineer?

If you have existing WiFi then you can connect and setup the Stream puck using that. It is not limited to Sky broadband.

I don't have WiFi was expecting the sky to deliver the same time

If you ordered Sky Broadband at the same time as Sky Stream, it's important to understand that the lead times are very different. A Stream puck can be delivered next day from warehouse stock but broadband has a minimum two week wait for Openreach attention (and potentially much longer for FTTP provisioning)

Unfortunately Sky really doesn't make it clear enough that this is simply not possible: UK/RoI broadband infrastructure just doesn't work like that for either switching ISP or installing a new connection. Delivery of a Sky Hub does not get the address on broadband from Sky.

But why isn't it letting me connect to my iPhone hot spot either?
22 Feb 2024 03:23 PM
@Daniel581 do you mean Broadband rather than Wifi?
22 Feb 2024 03:24 PM
Yes got the sky puck but it's not saying when the broadband box will be arriving

What sort of Mobile Phone service do you have?
Did you get any error messages when trying to connect to the Mobile Phone hotspot?

What exactly did you order? Are you waiting for a Sky Hub WiFi router to be delivered? Or are you waiting for an Openreach engineer to connect a FTTP broadband service to your property?

So what i was expecting to order was the sky puck and broadband for £39 a month
The puck was delivered yesterday but on my sky app details is said the engineer was cancelled
And it's not saying if and when the broadband box will arrive or why the engineer was cancelled
and trying to get help on the sky app is impossible

Just for clarification.... do you currently have a Broadband Service at your registered address?
22 Feb 2024 03:35 PM
No i cancelled my last broadband to join sky

I've got an iPhone which usually works if I need to use the hotspot
