Any advice
can I transfer to sky stream and use my tv? I've seen it advertised but not really understanding the costs ?
i want to move my tv and surely this is the answer instead of all the leads going everywhere

Short answer - Yes.
A Sky Stream puck is all that's needed. You connect it to your existing TV via HDMI cable and it receives channels via WiFi or ethernet.
Cost varies, depending on what you want to watch and in which resolution. All the details are on the Sky website but you'll need to call Sky to order if you're an existing Sky Q customer.
Be careful of additional charges for UHD, ad skipping and Premium tiers of Netflix. Costs can quickly mount up.

Thank you I'm hoping it won't cost much more as I'm on a top package with sky but we will see

If you're at the end of a current contract then Sky will often give you a new deal to stay so you can always negotiate.
Make sure that Sky Stream will do what you want it to - it's very different to Sky Q. You cannot record in the same sense and you must have fast and stable broadband for it to function at all.

After looking at the order I found they had only transferred the basic Netflix an not the Premium one they had confirmed. They promised they would phone Monday to sort it out, I wait to see.
