I have just received and set up Sky Stream.
The Sky stream remote won’t turn Sony TV off, I’ve tried going through from 1 to 32 and put the model number in but it doesn't respond to turn volume up or the TV won't turn off. Is this due to the Sony TV being 7 years old and not supported? Model number is KD50SD8003.
Thanks Dave from Eastbourne

To turn off it's a long press of the power button. It catches a few people out. However only likely to work if you get a remote setting that will allow you to increase/decrease the volume. The age of the TV is likely to be a factor but would have thought one of the settings should work.

Thank you, perhaps I will try and reset the the controller and start again and reprogramme the controller, at the moment one long press doesn't affect either the TV or Puck, strangely the controller turns everything on but not off?

So turning on is slightly different as the puck is waking up and turning on the TV by CEC control. When it's working correctly a short tap on the power button will turn the puck off and a longer press and hold the TV off.

Thanks for the advice I've tried resetting the controller and also followed someone else's suggestion that when I put Sony in for the TV just put the model number as x which brings lots of models up so I am working my way through those, so far three of the models do control the volume on the TV but still no joy in turning the TV off, I will continue to try all of them but have a feeling Sky Stream doesn't support our TV. Thanks very much for your help, unfortunately I still couldn't get the Sky Stream controller to turn off our Sony TV after going through all the permutations for Sony model numbers so am resigned to have to use the separate Sony TV remote to turn TV off which is a bit of a pain. Pleased with the picture quality so far though. Best wishes Dave
