@Searle2431 try resetting and then pairing the remote again as follows:

  1. Press and hold 7 and 9 together on your Sky remote for three seconds.
  2. Press and hold 4 and 6 together for three seconds.
  3. Press and hold 1 and 3 together for three seconds and follow the on-screen instructions

There are also some troubleshooting guides for faulty remotes at the following 2 links:

If you are still having issues you will need to contact Sky and request a replacement remote.  You can use a Sky Q remote while you wait for a replacement if you have one available.

Actually others have had their issue resolved on here by being sent a chat link. https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Glass-Stream-Live/Contact-sky-stream-remote-not-working/m-p/4394007

The phone line has a 40 minute wait at the moment.

@peteainsworth

I've escalated this to Sky Community Messaging Team who will send you an invitation for an online chat.

The link below explains the procedure

https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Did-you-know/Escalating-a-post-to-a-Sky-expert/ba-p/3711147

Keep a look out for the speech chat bubble that will appear on the bottom left of your screen when you are logged onto this forum. When the blue bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed.  Note replies from Sky are not instant so you’ll need to regularly check the chat thread.

Re: Sky stream remote buttons mixed up

Hi. My sky remote has the buttons mixed up. Pressing left on the selection wheel turns the box on/off. None of the other buttons now work.

I have tried to 7&9, 4&6 and 1&3 reset techniques. The remote says it is resetting after 1&3 but the same issue remains.

Can you please send me a new remote.

If the reset hasn't worked you could try holding the remote at both ends and giving it a gentle twist as though you were wringing out a towel. This has fixed remotes for a lot of other customers.

If it is still not working have a look at the following guides:

@CJRey  That's a shame, it has worked twice for me and the forum is full of posts where it has worked.  Your best bet is to contact Sky, explain your issue and ask for a replacement.
