We had sky Q which worked fine but was costing around £180 so I started as a new customer and they sent these things.
I turn it on it says 'please wait' forever so I have to restart it. Every time!
Go to Favourites and it shows me everything!
Have to log in every time I go to apps like iPlayer or C4.
I have sky 300mb but it's just slow and laggy.

For anyone who is having a similar problem.
I gave up on the dodgy WiFi and found a couple of old powerline adapters and am now getting a steady 50-55mbps.

Re: Sky stream puck is full of bugs
I would say you have an issue with your puck. I have 3 pucks and they all remember the logins. I never have issue with lag and I'm running mine over a mediocre 4g connection. Yes they are better on my fibre broadband but they work fine on the 4g. I would suggest pushing sky to replace the puck. I really can't fault the pucks.

Re: Sky stream puck is full of bugs
Hi thanks for replying. I've rebooted the puck holding down the button underneath and unplugging/replugging the power and starting again. After a week or so it's behaving much better. I'm not totally convinced yet as the whole thing seems flakey compared to skyQ but so far so good!
thanks again
Stan

Hi Stan, no worries glad to hear you seem to be getting somewhere now. Also great name my son is called Stanley. Like I said any issues just contact sky for a new puck it shouldn't be behaving like that.

Re: Sky stream puck is full of bugs
@Stanlemann having 300Mb/s at your Sky hub doesnt necessarily mean the pucks are getting sufficent data over WiFi. To stream successfully you need sufficent bandwidth and a signal free from interference. There is a useful indicator in the Settings/Network of the signal strength and a spedd test is available in the Get Help menu of the Netflix app. In many homes you need more than a standard Sky hub to get sufficent signal pucks around your home.
One other point some people try to hide the pucks behindthe TV they are feeding which is always going to reducecthe wifi signal level as TVs are made of metal. Make sure the pucks and the hub are out in the open.

Re: Sky stream puck is full of bugs
Ok I think most of the problems I'm having are caused by the WiFi connection. The puck is out in the open and 5ft away from the 300mb router but the Netflix speed check varies from 250 to just 3 The other puck is in the bedroom 30 yds away and has no problem with a booster halfway.
this speed variation is why sometimes all works perfectly and other times lags/freezes etc.
connecting an ethernet cable gives me 90mb. Tomorrow it may give me 250 who knows?

Re: Sky stream puck is full of bugs
@Stanlemann if you can use ethernet just use that but turn off the WiFi as leaving it on can cause instability. 90Mb/s is gge maximum the ethernet port can deliver but given the puck can only use something around 30Mb/s that is fine.
If that doesnt work switch the two pucks around as Inthink you haveca dud puck which Sky should replace.

Re: Sky stream puck is full of bugs
So what would cause the WiFi signal to fluctuate so wildly?
The picture just now started freezing as it does and the Netflix check says 18.79mb whereas an hour ago it measured ten times that.
thanks for your help everyone!

Re: Sky stream puck is full of bugs
I've just moved the router to within 3ft and it's now reading 10.49!
