Why do my stream keep reverting back to 1089p , the tv support 2160p and it's becoming annoying every time I watch something I have to check it to make sure it didn't go back.
any ideas would be appreciated thanks

That would suggest a problem with the HDMI handshake. Are you using the high speed HDMI cable that came with the puck? Have you tried a different HDMI port on the TV? Is your TV a Samsung by any chance?

I'd suggest trying the HDMI cable that came with the puck and connect it direct to the TV. If it's currently connected to the Denon amp then make sure you're using the same spec of HDMI cable between it and the TV and make sure the amp is set to full pass-through and has up to date firmware.
You may also need to be wary of the order of turning things on. If the amp isn't fully warmed up before the puck activates then it won't pass the correct information to the TV, hence it reverting to 1080P.

We had this problem in the one of the bedrooms tv was a sharp if you turn your tv on first then turn on the puck it should be fine not had these issues on the other tv's

Same problem with LG Oled and Yamaha AV receiver.
Using high speed cables and the reciever is set to 4k passthrough.
I feel the sky stream puck needs to be less sensitive to the resolution it thinks it recognises. And instead forces the chosen resolution once selected

I get this in my office. I have a 4k monitor with a puck on it. Trouble is I think as I switch inputs so often ( pc and ps5 also connected) if I turn the puck on with one of those as the 'live' connection it defaults to the 'safe' 1080p mode. A little annoying but it's edge case and I guess that's safer than staying at 4k and having a display not capable of displaying anything suddenly connected.
so yes, looks like it has to 'see' the 4k capable screen as it's turned on or it will roll back. Not sure there is any other solution for this.

Hi yes it is a Samsung I purchased a brand new hdmi cable despite not having any issue with 4k output to my old Samsung.
