As you see on here with other clients reviews. Total waste time and money.
By definition, support forum posts are typically fault reports, complaints and requests for help rather than 'reviews'. Almost no-one with working hardware frequents such places: many hundreds of thousands of Stream users aren't posting here.

Re: Sky stream is absolutely awful. I’m done
My contract expires this month. Can't wait to move back to BT.
Sky is a ripoff. Service is flaky. Recordings (that I really want to watch) rarely work. Hitting record on a sports programme on non sky channel and watching it half an hour later, pausing for a bit while you have a bite to eat, then clicking play means the programme is lost, for a few days. By which time, you already know the result. Device remote that rarely controls the tv, all other device remotes happily control the tv.
Pay for ad free extras. They only appear on sky stream, not on sky go.
It is so poor.
And, it's getting more and more like the American channels. Ad. Intro. Ad. Bit more. Ad. Bit more.
Sky sports is now the most expensive thing they do. I remember the days when sky movies was the only subscription channel.
I don't care about rugby, f1, EFL, WSL, NFL, NBA, etc. I only care about the Premier League teams. To get those, I need to prop up all the other stuff which I don't care about. I'm sure many an F1 fan would prefer fairer pricing and not have to prop up the fee of the Premier League teams that sky so desperately need.
Do proper, proportionate pricing. WSL teams, give them their own channel for all competitions they are in and charge £1 a month to watch. Give Premier League teams the same and charge a fair price that reflects what sky pay. I bet if pricing reflected what sky paid. The Premier League would suddenly see their value plummet (and quality increase as boring managers flock to Spain and Italy to peddle their never ending dross of passing back - side rant, take no heed).
Anyway, I'm going to give bt a tinkle in April when their new deals hit and get back to a system that does what you want and not what it wants

Out of curiousity, do you also have the Wifi disabled in the puck's settings? That seemingly needs to be done if order for it to stop trying to utilise the Wifi ( which it will default to if its enabled).

Would have a look but has crashed again about the 5 times today. Crashed about a hour ago has not come back on yet . Recycling day on Wednesday here thinking of putting the whole lot in the bin. One of the worse decisions I've made with Sky. Totally useless bit of equipment they call moving forward. Utter crap

Re: Sky stream is absolutely awful. I’m done
@ossies Hopefully that does it. Regarding the equipment I think you were joking but just to protect you, you are probably borrowing Sky Stream hardware from Sky and will need to return it when you're done. Some people who were very early Stream subscribers own it outright, but most won't.

Around a billion pounds a season. Apparently footballers are quite expensive these days.

It has absolutely made no difference at all. Keeps freezing every 29 minutes. Bin it is going to be. Not fit for purpose.

Re: Sky stream is absolutely awful. I’m done
When I phoned to cancel the other day they said there was no cancellation charges because I noted that I had had issues with it. When they said about switching back to sky q I considered it but then remember the issue I had with that being multi room was terrible.
I have a mesh router setup and the sky technician said sky q doesn't play nice with them. He even added 2 sky extender devices but it made no difference
I think I'm gonna try the apple TV route. Or maybe just fire stick as I already have one of those somewhere

Re: Sky stream is absolutely awful. I’m done
Thinking of doing the same. It's awful. Freezes, lip synch is always out.Watching program and it turns itself over . Usually jumps to I player even though I have no interest in bbc rubbish. Turns on and off when it feels like it. Losing signal all the time even though all my other WiFi are wiry perfect. Phones, Xbox, tablet, computer etc. check speeds all running fast not this puck though oh no this thing is as useless as a chocolate fireguard.

Re: Sky stream is absolutely awful. I’m done
@Dismay no such issues here. BBC insist you use IPlayer for their non-live content, so that's not a fault.
Have you spoken to Sky about the other problems?
