@TimmyBGood Doesn't really matter what you can or cannot see, the fact is the legislation applies, you thinking that if Sky couldn't force people to stay they wouldn't do so tells me everything I need to know
Sky are well aware of this legislation and that's why people are leaving with no penalty or attempts to keep them to the contract, try doing that with a Sky Q box and you'll have no such luck
Sky are not doing this because they are an understanding and empathetic company, they are doing it because its law despite what you seem to think

Existing consumer rights protection ('as described' / 'of adequate quality' / 'fit for purpose') is not the same thing as the misinformation that a new automatic right to exit minimum term subscriptions was created prior to the last election: that's a myth which started circulating earlier in the year and, being untrue, isn't particularly helpful for people to pursue as an argument with a provider.
As I've said elsewhere, my personal theory is that Sky permits exit from Stream (but not Q) because the complete absence of in-premises installer support means they cannot be seen to adequately attempt to remedy issues which a particular user is experiencing, as is required by the actual longstanding legislation.

@TimmyBGood And as I've said your opinion means nothing , Sky let people exit with no penalty because thats the law, nobody cares what your personal theory is
Sky would never ever let a person leave their contract if they were not forced to
The ruling is valid and is all anyone needs if they would like to leave their contract, I'm afraid neither Sky nor your personal theory matters in this regard
Stop calling it untrue or invalid as it's neither !

Then where is this alleged right to exit a minimum term without reason actually written?
Any such fundamental revision to contract law would break multiple business models.
Leaving where a supplier cannot demonstrate they have made adequate attempts to remedy a problem is covered by the 2015 Act.
