Sky stream - how to watch in two rooms, but not at the same time
Hi,
My Mum has just got Sky Stream. It's not set up yet, but she wants to be able to watch downstairs (just lounge) and upstairs (just bedroom).
It will only be her watching it, so she won't watch both at once, but how can she watch upstairs and downstairs?
She is one person so a whole family package is not appropriate.
Can she simply get an extra puck? I can't find any info about this.
As I'm struggling to be able to speak to a human, any help would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

Re: Sky stream - how to watch in two rooms, but not at the same time
What you need is to add another Sky Stream puck.
There is a one off fee of £39.95 for the additional Sky Stream puck
Plus you also need to add the Whole home pack to your Sky billing package, that is a monthly fee of around £13 a month.
As described here in the Sky help FAQ for Sky Stream;
Watching Sky in different rooms (Whole Home pack)
Smarten up any other TVs you’ve already got with extra Sky Stream pucks and the Whole Home monthly subscription.
Plug the Sky Stream puck into your TV to enjoy your Sky TV package in another room. Big matches in the lounge. Dinosaurs in the kitchen. With the Whole Home pack, you can fill your home with unlimited entertainment.
With the Whole Home pack you can also watch on four devices at the same time on the Sky Go app and on your games console.
- One-off set-up fee for each Sky Stream puck applies.
- Monthly subscription charge applies.
- Sky Ultimate TV subscription required.
- Six Sky Stream pucks per account.

You can order the above within the MySky app or MySky online Sky account, so no need to call Sky.
Within MySky go to Your products>Manage Home Set-up>
Add the additional Sky Stream puck and also make sure you add or it adds the Whole Home pack there too.

The other option (which doesn't seem to be practical in your situation unfortunately) is to pop a hdmi extension cable into both TVs and move the puck around both rooms.

Even though both won't be in use at the same time, a Whole Home subscription is required.

In theory a Stream puck can be moved between rooms, as long as there's adequate wireless signal in both locations.
If actually doing so, it's advisable to use HDMI extenders for the connection rather than repeatedly unplugging and replugging into built-in HDMI ports.

The issue is both pucks can be used at the same time and Sky do not offer an option of one session restricted access😔
