Re: Sky stream , honest review
I had Virgin and swapped for Sky stream and had 2 pucks and it was so bad it was untrue.
I had it for 3 weeks and it hardly ever worked which was annoying as I waited for football and guess what no service so I was constantly on the phone to sky then I paid for pay per view boxing and it must of froze at least 30 times which was the final straw but luckily I was still in cooling off period so have gone back to Virgin. Sky Q is reliable but stream really bad and wouldn't recommend.

@Paul75751 I really wish I'd done that but I'm now about half way through my 18 month contract, so I'm stuck with this [comments removed] until I can escape. 😔

Re: Sky stream , honest review
@mirrors90 I would probably agree with the potential bit, if I knew enough...but as I don't I can only go with my current experience/opinion [language removed], the sooner I can ditch it, the better & once back to a non Sky-streaming system, I will never, ever return.

Re: Sky stream , honest review
Is it not a breach of contract on their part offering a service they can't deliver

Re: Sky stream , honest review
Hopefully an updated puck @Brian225 is looming around the corner. What happened last week with the serious issues is hopefully a wake up call that the puck needs updating. I will keep saying it's a great product but it needs to work correctly and not daily issues

What part of an "updated" puck would have prevented the issue last week?

We'll never know. Sky aren't about to reveal that.

Re: Sky stream , honest review
It's either the puck or a further firmware / software update is needed to sort out everything and the still issues.
I am persevering in keeping stream as I like the improved design etc

Re: Sky stream , honest review
@Super+AnthonyAn updated version of the puck is at least 2 - 3 years away.
The decision for new hardware isn't down to sky, it's down to the Comcast group.
The puck wasn't manufactured for sky it is based on Xfinity hardware (another Comcast company) Hardware and now software are shared across the Comcast group.
if you think we are going to get hardware anywhere close to the Apple TV box you're dreaming. These are built cheaply for cost

Re: Sky stream , honest review
Its Sky responsibility then surely to liaise with Comcast to sort the ongoing issues and get it all ironed out?
@Anonymous I agree though with you what you are saying about the quality
I really hope they do get to enhance whatever is needed to improve it all and make us all happy 😃

@Super+Anthony what issues are you still getting? Are these still linked to your ISP ?

Re: Sky stream , honest review
It's nothing to do with the ISP but anyway I am going to just wait for the issues to be sorted by Sky

Re: Sky stream , honest review
Yes this is possible. Ensure you take the sports and cinema on 31 day rolling and you can remove at any time with 31 days notice, reducing the monthly cost significantly! I think the resultant cost is around £15-25 for the base Signature package including Netflix once additional content removed
