Hi,
I have had Sky Tv for just over a week now. At first no issues at all and has been brilliant. Then yesterday had a few intermittent connection issues.
this evening I can't get it to play anything. I have tried the following ;
- resetting the router
-connecting via WiFi and then hardwire (with both the WiFi selection on and then off)
- resetting the sky stream
I have a BRSK internet package which is circa 500 mbps and throughout the above actions I have ran speed tests (all around 500) and used other devices and streaming services - all of which work ok
at a bit of a loss now what to try
any help much appreciated

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreBrsk is your isp? Potentially there could be a few reasons ...
1. Do they supply the router ?
2. Has there been some kind of firmware update to the router recently?
there have been issues previously with isp s using ip addresses that are not British based (as there can occasionally be a shortage of these) it maybe worth turning your router off overnight to see if it picks up a different ip address the next time it is booted up
would be good if you could maybe hotspot to your tv via your mobile to check if it's hardware related
or contact your isp to see if any dns changes have been made to your router recently

Thank you for your reply. Weirdly it appears to have suddenly started working again but I'll look at your suggestions in more detail if we get another problem

Cheers for your reply. It would show as 'connected' for several seconds and then disconnect for several before repeating the cycle over and over again. There never seemed to be an issue with it connecting to the router, it was connecting to the internet that was the problem
