When I subscribed to Sky stream I also took out sky sports on a monthly rolling contract. The price was a little more than the 18 month contract but I didn't want to be tied in for 18 months on sports when my stream contract is a rolling monthly one. I cancelled my spaorts last November but with the new F1 season about to start I went to renew but it seems to have gone and all I can find now is the 18 month contract. If this is the case then I will be off to Virgin where I can get the TV package and Sky sports for a total of £18 a month, even though its a 18 month contract its a lot cheaper than being tied to sky for 18 months. Does any body know if the monthly rolling contract for sports is still available?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAll you can do is phone Sky and ask but I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere in the T&Cs it prevents you from resubscribing on a 31 rolling period for a specific time period after previously cancelling.

If that's the case it seems a bit daft having a monthly rolling contract, the whole idea is to stop and start whenever in my opinion. Looks like I'm off to Virgin then

I had the same issue. After discussions with agent I was assured that I could cancel a new 18 month sky sports subscription when my sky entertainment expires (at the end of this F1 season) without penalty, even though my confirmation email now gives sky entertainment a new 18 month end date. It seems that for steam at least, 31 days notice is all that is required to cancel.

Take the 18 month contract / you can cancel free within the contract period.
