Sky puck remote only working for some commands

My sky puck has been working great for about two months but now has started having issues. It's never been able to turn on the lg tv but that was fine- now it will put the puck into standby and turn it back on and bring up the home stream but then doesn't register any commands beyond that - I've tried resetting the remote (pressing 7+9/pressing 1+3/ both together and separately) I've tried resetting the puck but nothing is working - it says it's connected when I press 1+3 but the buttons won't even work to get off that screen. I'm at a loss here....anyone got any ideas?

@Shadow93uk There are a lot of customers complaining about faulty remotes at the moment. I posted the following to another similar thread earlier this evening, hopefully it will help you:

Firstly I would reboot the system by switching off at the plug socket for a minute before switching it on again. I will take about a minute to reboot.

Then try to pair the remote again as follows:

1. Press 7 and 9 together on your Sky remote for three seconds (This resets/clears the remote)
2. Press 1 and 3 together for three seconds (bluetooth mode) and follow any on-screen instructions.

You could also try holding the remote at both ends and giving it a gentle twist as though you were wringing out a cloth.  There was a faulty batch of remotes at the end of last year and this method often worked even though it sounds an unlikely solution. Whether it will work on newer remotes I don't know but it's worth a try.

If none of the above works then phone Sky to discuss and request a replacement remote.

If you have one available you can use a Sky Q remote.

I also have that problem with my sky stream and sky q remote.

Perhaps the problem is the sky stream puck itself.

@des+Grant If the advice given in the post above hasn't helped try rebooting the puck again and then try pairing it again as advised above.
