Sky puck keeps crashing with remote being blamed!!!

So, I received the sky puck. I turn it on to set up and it keeps freezing and crashing. I call sky who advise that it's the remote. Tuesday they said they would send a new remote, which as yet has not arrived! Is it really the remote as I can't believe the remote would cause it to freeze? Anyone else had these issues at set up stage???

Personally if it was me and it was a new puck I would be asking for a replacement puck

Thanks. I'm also having problems with the broadband, which reduces crazily 8 metres from the router and non existent upstairs! Really poor customer service and no new remote received so calling it a day with sky and moving to virgin!

Try rebooting the router
