Re: Sky Stream takes 20+ secs to change channel

@domb84 good stuff. Lip syncing is a complicated issue and could be a number of things, many environmental, but there was a common issue across many users and early signs from the Glass Gen 1 users who have the update now is that it's an effective fix 🎉

Good news i guess but i'll believe it when i see it!

On another note I had a another look at the channel issue this morning and enabled UPNP on my router and tada! Channel switching is down to a couple of seconds. I can't see this requirement documented anywhere so unsure if this is actually fixed. I'll monitor and see.

The lip sync issue thread is here and from what has been reported so far for QS35 on Sky Stream and Sky Glass it seems to have fixed the issue for those that had it.

Ive never experienced  the issue Myself.

As for your channel swapping delay, up to a few seconds is often normal.

Your switch of UPNP may have just done a reconnect or Sky server connection reset from the router.

Despite what often gets reported, UPNP does solve and serve better in some paths, a lot of connection issues and as long as your router is recent and receiving updates, using UPNP will be fine.

Any similar issues like the channel delay going forward, try a restart of the Sky Stream pucks, it tends to clear most of these type of glitches.

Go to Settings>Systems Management>Resets & Updates
Select Restart device
Your Sky Stream puck will perform a reboot. It will take a few minutes to complete

Proabably a good thing to do that restart at least once a week.
