If you read all the messages, this is more a page to vent. Sky have offered no solution and don't appear to acknowledge the issue.

I had really bad pixilalation when streaming. First Apple, then Prime and occasionally Netflix. Got to the point is was not worth watching. I found you can turn on a judder in the sky visual settings menu. It has only bloody worked! Hope this helps guys.

I am showing as 33mbps on Netflix. Losing 100mps between the router and the puck. My puck is pluged into the ethernet to. Any ideas on how to speed it up?

I've only recently had sky and fibre installed after leaving virgin. My sky puck is connected directly to my sky hub via ethernet. I've been pretty shocked how often the picture quality suffers with macroblocking/pixelating. We just finished watching that new "Dear Santa" movie and it often looked terrible. The scene where the boy is walking through the park with Jack Black, Jack's outfit is a shimmering mess. Please everyone take a look at that scene around 30m30s and have a look if his outfit is pixelating.

Hi Community,
So it's a week today since I've been a Sky customer with Sky Stream.
Up till now I've been really pleased, however today I am experiencing really bad pixelation across all channels on Sky Stream.
I'd say it's so bad it has become unwatchable.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.

First of all, check your network connection. If you're connected to your broadband via WiFi run a network check using the Netflix app. Open the Netflix app and go to the get help section. Run a network check there and see what speed is being received by the puck. You need a minimum of 25Mbps for HD and 30Mbps for UHD.
A regular reboot of your puck is often useful for flushing out cache gremlins which can slow things down.
Also a reboot of your router can sometimes help too.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreWould first suggest trying a restart of your Sky Stream box
Go to Settings>Systems Management>Resets & Updates
Select Restart device
Your Sky Stream puck will perform a reboot. It will take a few minutes to complete.
Recommended minimum broadband speed of 25Mbps. Or 30Mbps if you add an extra Sky Stream puck or to watch in UHD.
As mentioned above, a good way to test, doing a few netflix app speed test on your pucks over say a fifteen minute period.
Launch Netflix on your pucks (you do not need to be logged into it, if you do not use netflix) and scroll down the left menu to Get help.
Choose Check Network.

Thanks for your reply, I'm really pleased to report that resetting the Stream Puck appears to have done the trick.

Thanks. Tried this as soon as you posted it. Have not noticed any problems since! Early days yet, but hopeful.

I've had Sky Stream for around six months now and have recently started to notice pixelating mainly on the sky channels. It's getting annoying so I did a Google search and it brought me here.
A reboot fixes it for a few days but then it will return. This issue is either the cheap puck or sky's servers.
I have 1gb broadband which is fine and I've tried the puck hardwired and over WiFi.
