Content has live view rights and on-demand rights ... the items you selected had only live view rights on the channels you selected😟

Thanks for your reply. So basically anything on Sky Max or Sky Showcase we have to watch in real time or not at all ? If I had known this prior to getting a puck I would have stuck with Q and recorded things !

We have a puck and are getting really frustrated with the supposed streaming capability ! We plussed 2 films yesterday on Sky Max and Sky Showcase, come to watch it this morning (from our playlist) and it says it is Sky Cinema and we need to upgrade 😫 We have had a similar issue when plussing things and trying to watch, selecting watch from the beginning and it only shows the last 5 mins of the programme. We never had any issues with Sky Q, I thought this was going to be fantastic but I'm really disappointed 😞 Why is it not letting us watch things we have plussed!
Sky Stream doesn't record in the same sense as Sky Q. The playlist is merely a log of things you'd like to watch later, not a recording of those things.
If the on demand streaming rights for a particular programme or movie are held by a subscription service, such as Sky Cinema, Disney+, Prime Video or whatever, then you'll need to subscribe to that service in order to watch it on demand at a later date.
With Sky Q you are making a recording of a live broadcast which is stored locally on the Sky Q box hard drive. There are less restrictions on such recordings and they can be watched whenever you like without additional subscription needed, so for some people this can be beneficial.

Essentially, yes.
If you've had Sky Stream for less than 31 days then you can easily revert back to Sky Q if you wish, but you need to call Sky to do so. If you still have your Q equipment then it can be a very straightforward process.

Most content on those channels will be available on demand without an additional subscription, but not if they are showing, for example, a film which is normally on a Sky Cinema channel.
