Sky Stream makes me want to scream!

We've had Sky Stream for just over 3 weeks now and we cannot wait for our engineer appointment to install a dish for Sky Q again! Stream is a nightmare! Less channels and the PUK is merely a platform to link with other providers such as ITV X, Netflix or iplayer. They expect you to pay to skip ads and even if you pause you can't always then fast forward! It often jumps back to the beginning of a programme so you're stuck watching the same thing again!! No +1 channels either. Please do your homework before agreeing to a contract because if you decide it isn't for you, they will cancel your stream contract and viewing and then set up a new contract for Sky Q!, they cannot overlap! Absolutely ludicrous! Isn't it the same company after all??! Sky sort it out and stop trying to cop out and just use other viewing platforms! You'll lose a lot of customers with the way you're doing business and the non UK call handlers who cause confusion with the lack of understanding! One actually cancelled my Stream within 2 hours due to him not understanding English, which I wouldn't actually mind if I had some alternative!

This has all been well documented since the launch of the service and there has to be an element of research before choosing to switch. Glass and Stream do not have the capability to record locally, but they do cloud record, however a lot of the public broadcasters won't allow sky to do this and force their catch up services.

Licences for streaming are vastly different then satellite broadcasting. I.e. who has rights to broadcast programming Vs who has the ondemand rights for it. Channel information is available online in the form of Sky help articles.

I agree with the account situation l, however Sky normally way a month before requesting their Q kit back. Was this already returned? As you should be able to plug it in and reactivate the viewing card? Why do you need an engineer?

Fewer than the satellite platforms, certainly, but Stream still has around 175 live channels in its EPG.

Re: Sky Stream makes me want to scream!

There are broadcasters that haven't agreed to have their channels on Sky Stream ... complain to those broadcasters😉

Re: Sky Stream makes me want to scream!

Moved to a property which didn't have a dish so need an installation. Really wish I'd done some homework before agreeing to stream so wanted to warn others not to be as hasty as me.
