Sky Stream keeps freezing on channel I'm on and wont change channel

If I leave it on a channel for a while then try to change the channel it says "wait for programme to load" and wont change.

the chnnel im on is streaming fine. no quality drops or anything. i can get to the home screen but it wont let me go anywhere else. i can click on the previous channels i was on but it wont change the channel.

I have to unplug the puck to get it working again. been happening more latley .

any help much appreciated.

@ozzzies whomis your isp? There have been reports of oddities with some smaller Altnet fibre suppliers.

im with Virgin media fiber internet. (only because sky doesnt do in my area). 

i have been having issues with my internet connection so maybe is linked to this issue. however, like i said the channel i am on does not cut off or lose any type of quality. so my internet doesnt cut off or anything.
